Hürü Kaya
Kaya was born in 1971 in Keskin. In 1995, she began studying photography at the Department of Photography at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts. She completed her education at the Department of Photography at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She is currently a instructor at the same institution and continues her work in the field of documentary photography.

In 2004, she completed her Master’s Degree thesis, entitled “Use of Photography in the Activities at Public Halls (1932-1951)” . In 2008, she opened her first personal exhibition and published her first book, “On the Plains” at Fotoğrafevi. In 2008, she opened her second personal exhibition “Encounters” at MSGSÜ Tophane-I Amire Cisterns gallery. In 2010, she helped as consultant and editor at the foundation of Espas Books. In 2011, she opened her third personal exhibition, “Monument of Humanity: Kars” at the cantina of MSGSÜ Wharf and Bomonti. In 2012, she participated in the group exhibition “Women and Children After Van Earthquake” with her work, “Point of Focus: Van”, at the MSGSÜ Tophane-I Amire Cistern gallery.
