Born in 1978, Frederic Lezmi is a photographer and book designer. He studied visual communication with an emphasis on documentary photography and book design at Folkwang University in Essen, Germany and fine arts at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA) in Beirut, Lebanon.

Besides working on his own books and projects and editing and designing for artists and clients, he regularly gives master classes and workshops. He is the initiator of the Lab Book in Istanbul and co-founder and curator of the PhotoBookMuseum in Cologne.

After living in Istanbul the last couple of years, he recently relocated back to Cologne, Germany.
